Pete R. Schaefer
Pete R. Schaefer, FSA, MAAA, President and CEO, joined HLR US on January 1, 1999 as Chief Actuary and assumed his current responsibilities two years later.
Prior to joining HLR US, he was Vice President and Actuary with The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company where he had responsibility for product pricing, reinsurance and experience analysis.
Pete is an active participant in numerous actuarial and life insurance industry committees and currently serves on the American Council of Life Insurers’ Forum 500 Board of Governors.
