Lloyd Spencer
Lloyd Spencer, FSA, MAAA, CERA, Vice President - Research Actuary, joined HLR America in April 2010. Lloyd has spent his career in various roles at both direct companies and reinsurers. Prior to joining HLR America, Lloyd served as Vice President, Corporate Actuary for OneAmerica and 13 years with Lincoln Financial Group.
Lloyd holds a bachelor’s of science degree (magna cum laude) from Ball State University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst of the SOA (CERA).
At HLR America, Lloyd is responsible for leading Applied Research including ownership of Summit as well as involvement with mortality assessment related to credit financial deals. He will also play an active role in industry related issues such as Principal Based Reserves and Simplified issue task forces.
