Doug Ingle
Doug Ingle, FALU, FLMI, Vice President - Underwriting Research, joined HLR America in April 2010. Doug has over 30 years in the reinsurance industry. Prior to joining HLR America, Doug spent five years with Northwestern Mutual as Director of Underwriting Standards. Prior to joining Northwestern Mutual, Doug served as Vice President of Underwriting and Mortality Research with ING Re, and Vice President and Chief Reinsurance Underwriter for American United Life.
Doug is a graduate of Hamline University (magna cum laude). He is a Fellow of the Academy of Life Underwriting (FALU) and a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI).
At HLR America, Doug is responsible for underwriting research including cost value studies of underwriting evidence, research to support Hannover Life Re’s mortality assessment system Summit, the underwriting manual ASCENT and the underwriting engine Merica US.
