Ben Carson
Ben Carson, FSA, Assistant Vice President - Actuary and Pricing, joined HLR America in February 2009.
Prior to joining HLR America, Ben was AVP & Actuary with Scottish Re where he managed the COLI business and was also responsible for pricing life reinsurance opportunities in the Group, Credit, and Mortality Solutions markets.
Ben graduated from Butler University earning a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science with a minor in business administration. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
At HLR America, Ben is responsible for the pricing function in the Mortality Solutions market. In addition to pricing, his role will entail collaborating with clients throughout the product development process to optimize underwriting requirements and establish mortality assumptions for their targeted market.
