David A. Wheat, CPA, FLMI, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, joined HLR America in March of 2010. David has over 25 years in the insurance industry.
Prior to joining HLR America, David served as the Chief Financial Officer of ING Americas, leading finance and risk activities across the United States, Canada and Latin America. Prior to joining ING Americas, David was a partner in the Ernst & Young Insurance Practice.
David is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a graduate of the University of Louisville. He is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI).
At HLR America, David is responsible for the Finance, Corporate Actuarial, Treasury, Risk Management, and Controller functions.

Glen E. Martin, CPA, Senior Vice President and Treasurer, joined HLR America in 1995 as Assistant Vice President and was promoted to Vice President in 2001.
He has more than 16 years experience working with the insurance industry including public accounting. Prior to joining Hannover Life Re, Glen worked for six years at KPMG where his clients included multi-national insurance companies. His primary area of concentration has been financial services, specializing in life insurance.
Glen graduated cum laude from Stetson University, FL, with a bachelor’s of business administration in accounting. He received his Master’s in Accounting from the Stetson University. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
His responsibilities include leading Finance and Investments functions within the enterprise.

Susan K. Fuller , CPA (inactive), Vice President - Controller, joined HLR America in 2004 as Senior Financial Analyst responsible for treaty financial reporting and analysis. She was promoted to Manager of Financial Analysis in 2005 and Controller in 2009. She joined HLR America with 15 years experience in the insurance and financial services industries.
Before joining Hannover Life Re, Susan worked nine years with a medium-sized company specializing in workers’ compensation insurance. There she was responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and analysis. Prior to that she spent six years with KPMG working with clients in both insurance and financial services.
Susan graduated with high honors from the University of Florida, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting. She also earned her Master’s in Accounting from the University of Florida.
At HLR America, Susan is responsible for Hannover Life Re's financial reporting and accounting policy.

Jane A. Newell, CPA (Inactive), Vice President - Finance, Mortality Solutions, joined HLR America in February 2009 with approximately 14 years experience in the banking and reinsurance industries.
Before joining Hannover Life Re, Jane spent five years with Scottish Re, managing the financial accounting and reporting function for the Traditional Life business. Prior to that, she spent eight years with the Bank of Bermuda with a primary focus on financial accounting and reporting, along with financial planning & analysis.
Jane completed her accounting studies at City College of Chicago, on the US Naval Air Station in Bermuda and graduated with High Honors. She is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
At HLR America, Jane is responsible for the financial reporting, planning and analysis for the Mortality Solutions line of business.

Peter V. Susi, FSA, MAAA, Vice President – Financial Management Actuary, joined HLR America in October 2009. He carries more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry with special focus on financial reporting, product development and reinsurance.
Prior to joining HLR America, Peter served as Executive Vice President and Chief Actuary for Kanawha Insurance Company, where he was responsible for all aspects of financial reporting, product development and risk management. Peter has also gained extensive experience in his work with Lincoln National Life, the ING Group and Jefferson Pilot.
Peter is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
At HLR America, Peter is responsible for overseeing the internal and external corporate actuarial audit functions and developing a variety of operational, financial and risk management.
