Paul J. Smith

Paul J. Smith, FLMI, Vice President – Information Technology, joined HLR America in August 1997 with 15 years of systems experience.

Paul began his reinsurance career in 1985 as a programmer with Hudson Life Reassurance Corporation in Sarasota, Florida. He relocated with the company to Connecticut, where it operated as American Skandia Life Reassurance and, eventually, Hartford Life Reassurance Corporation.

Paul advanced to Assistant Vice President – MIS and Administration, where he was responsible for reinsurance administration and systems. His current responsibilities at HLR America include the overall management of information systems.
