O. Alex Kozij

O. Alex Kozij, FLMI, AALU, Vice President – Underwriting, started in the insurance business in 1965 as an all-lines insurance broker, initially working with Prudential (U.S.) as an independent broker. He joined CNA Insurance in 1967 as an underwriter, then moved to the Reinsurance Division of CNA in 1969.

Previously, Alex served with Scor Re Life as Assistant Vice President & Chief Underwriter. He was responsible for underwriting and claims as well as marketing (in 10 states). He joined HLR America in 1987.

Alex is past President of Chicago Home Office Life Underwriters Association and past Chairman of the Procedures and Cost Committee of HOLUA/IHOU. He has made many local, national and international presentations and has written several articles in professional journals.
