Herb Burton

Herb Burton, CPA (Inactive), Assistant Vice President and Assistant Controller, joined HLR America in 2003 with more than 27 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Prior to joining Hannover Life Re, Herb worked for various property and casualty insurance companies including large multi-line and small to medium specialty-line companies.  His primary areas of concentration have been managing the preparation of financial statements and overseeing the general operations of the accounting department. Herb graduated from the Ohio State University, with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Marketing. He is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

His responsibilities include managing Hannover Life Re’s accounting department including the preparation of Statutory and IFRS financial statements.
